What’s more, the dynamism of the E-Class is designed to last – as grueling endurance tests have shown. For example we packed three standard production E 320 CDI models off to the Laredo high-speed test track in the Texan desert, where they all completed 100,000 miles of driving at an average speed of 224 km/h, interrupted oly by brief refueling and maintenance stops This was not only a world record, it also proved that the E-Class offers top performance in everything from its engine and suspension to its electronics.
