The driving comfort of the S-Class is ensured by the further improved AIRMATIC pneumatic suspension and the optionally available ABC (Active Body Control) running gear. These technologies ensure not only comfortable ride in the S-Class, but a dynamic one as well.

The combined effect of the high-pressure hydrolics, sophisticated sensors and powerful micro-processors ensure that the S-Class adapts itself to the actual road conditions in split seconds while the AIRMATIC provides more comfort and agility during driving. Movements of the body during starting off and braking and the rolling of the body during cornering are significantly reduced.

In addition to this the speed-dependent level regulation of the ABC ensures a more dynamic ride by lowering the car by up to 15 mm when traveling at speeds above 65 km/h.
