With our optional automated gearshift system, “non-synchro- mesh transmissions” are fitted  with 12 or 16 gears. This allows an application-oriented powertrain configuration.

Mercedes PowerShift offers crucial advantages: it not only shifts faster, but  higher torque can also be transmitted than with comparable synchromesh transmissions. Separately selectable modes and softer gear changes help enhance safety, cost effectiveness and ride comfort.
