Telligent Systems

Telligent Maintenance System:

The Telligent® maintenance   system makes individual service intervals possible by taking its   cue from the actual wear and    tear on a vehicle. This involves registering every single cold    start, for example. The condition   of the engine oil as well as the  coolant level are monitored constantly.

The Telligent® maintenance system stores information    about faults, but only alerts drivers if they need to take action. Less serious or tempo- rary faults will be eliminated during the next scheduled    visit to the workshop.

In other words, all the daily checks - with the exception of the tyre pressure - can be carried out from the comfort of the driver’s seat.   And that saves valuable time every morning.

Telligent Shifting System:

Telligent® shifting system which is available in the standard equipments of the vehicle, the only thing you should do is to move the handle of the shifting lever forwards or backwards.

A special “construction site” shifting program is activated in order to be able to shift faster when the vehicle is required to be rescued from a swamp when the differential lock is activated. Apart from that there is the optional Telligent® automatic transmission control system is available.  

Telligent Brake System:

The Telligent® brake system which is available in the standard equipments of Actros and optional equipment for Atego offers certain advantages whatever the ground type is. The continuous brake pressure for 10 bars provides effective braking on the highway.  Especially the braking order is transmitted in a few milliseconds (speed of light). 

The last point for the brake safety is the prevention system for the forward/backward slipping which facilitates the start at up hills33).

Telligent®  Proximity Control:

Drive more safely:  Telligent®  proximity control
This driver assist system, available in conjunction with a retarder, permits a more relaxed style of driving by scanning    the traffic situation up to 150 m in front of the vehicle, moni- toring the distance to the vehicle in front and the speed at which  it is travelling, and analysing any changes.

When travel- ling downhill, it brakes the  Actros using the constantly open throttle valve brake and retarder to keep the vehicle under the top speed set by the driver.


Telligent® Stability Control:

ESP®  for trucks Telligent® stability control Telligent® stability control is  available as an option for semitrailer tractors. This system recognises a risk  of instability, such as a skid or the tail sliding out, and intervenes to counteract these forces within the limits of what is physically possible.
