So that even long journeys in the S-Class become a real pleasure, we have further developed the active multicontour seats with massage and dynamic handling function[1], included in the optional seating comfort package.

Something special: the side bolsters of the backrest – and seat cushion are filled with air on bends, making for an enjoyable ride on even the most winding roads. Once you’re comfortably seated you can relax and enjoy the massage function: the seven massage chambers and four different modes deliver a rolling movement which is designed to stimulate the muscles of the back.

The individual zones can be precisely adjusted using the COMAND multimedia system. An even greater degree of lateral support is provided by the NECK-PRO luxury head restraint (standard in the S 600 and available as an option for the other models) which features two flexible side bolsters which can be adjusted individually.

The PRE-SAFE® positioning system is a further feature of the multicontour seats: in critical handling situations the seats can be moved into a more favourable position automatically and the air chambers can be inflated simultaneously to hold the front seat occupants securely in their seats.
